For the most part, the Keto lifestyle satisfies all my cravings and there are rarely any foods that I miss (okay who am i kidding - i'm obsessed with all kinds of sugar laden ice-cream and have yet to find the perfect keto substitute). But I digress.
Sometimes a girl just wants a slice of toast, smothered with butter, to dip into her soup. Or a grilled cheese.
So when i found this recipe, i was convinced that something that was this easy either had to be full of carbs, or it compromised on taste. But I was wrong.
I was looking for a bread recipe to accompany the Keto Taco Soup that we were having for dinner. And this was perfect and incredibly filling too.
Because I made the bread in round little ramekins, it came out like a giant muffin. It popped right out of the dish and once cooled, i sliced it up.
I prefer to pop the slices of bread in the toaster. Although the texture of the bread is not bad, it definitely comes out more like "toast" at this point.
I would love to hear what you think of this recipe. I would also love to hear about any alterations that you would suggest or flavor combinations. I have thought about adding some cheese (I love cheese crusted bread), but im worried it might change the bread density?
