I was so excited to stop by the house to see how things were going today. We were out of town for a visit back home for three weeks over the summer and so much has happened since we left. Although our builder was sending us regular email updates on the progress of the house, I was just dying to see it all in person.
A lot of the selections that we made at our design appointment were already installed and it is starting to look like the place I was envisioning it to be.
The trim, such as the baseboards and the crown molding was installed and has really framed the rooms. The stair railing has also been put in (making it much safer for us to visit the home with our busy little toddler who wants to climb the stairs all the time), and the tiling in the bathrooms and around the fire place.
They have also installed all of the interior doors and the cabinets. I can't believe we are already at this stage of the construction process, but it is looking so great and I am so happy with all the selections we made.
All our chosen light fixtures and can lights were installed while we were away.
Our walls and the trim have also all been painted. I think that there were technically two stages of construction happening while we were gone, but since we missed it - I have put it all into one blog post.
I took a lot of photos to capture the progress of the house today. This is the first time we have visited the house where there is so much detail that its worth capturing it all.
Although I didn't actually get any pictures of it (I know complete shock right), there was also a lot of work going on with the outside of our home. They have started pouring the walkways and the driveway.
Next step in this process is the installation of the kitchen and vanity tops and our flooring. We will stop by the house next weekend to have a look, as that should all be done during the next week, so check back for an update and even more photos.
